NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 16, 2019 – Churchill Mortgage, a leader in the mortgage industry providing conventional, FHA, VA and USDA residential mortgages across 46 states, announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Mike Hardwick, has been awarded Lipscomb University’s Leader with Purpose Award.
The annual awards program is hosted by the Hilton & Sallie Dean Institute for Corporate Governance & Integrity, housed in Lipscomb University’s College of Business. These awards honor local companies and individuals that have distinguished themselves from others in their industry through business practices based on integrity and purpose. Hardwick was recognized for his contributions as a leader in the mortgage industry.
“The Leader with Purpose Award is made annually by Lipscomb University and its Dean Institute for Corporate Governance and Integrity,” Turney Stevens, Dean Emeritus of the Lipscomb University College of Business and Director of the Hilton and Sallie Dean Institute for Corporate Governance and Integrity said. “The award recognizes the Nashville business leader best personifying the ideal of leading with both results and high integrity. It is designed to encourage other business leaders to lead their own organizations with purpose.”
Hardwick founded Churchill Mortgage in 1992 and has since grown the lender into a national organization. Building a strong foundation on the values of putting people over profits and guiding borrowers with the heart of a teacher, Churchill Mortgage has helped more than 100,000 families through the mortgage process. Additionally, Hardwick is committed to the community and has served on numerous boards and committees, including Friends of the Arts Board at Belmont University and the Finance & Endowment Committee for Christ Church Nashville. He is also a founder and board member of Real Estate Services of America, Escrow Services of Tennessee, Churchill Agency and Equity Express.
“It is an honor to receive such a highly regarded award that represents the same core values as Churchill Mortgage,” said Hardwick. “I have built my career with the guiding principles of integrity and leading with a servant’s heart. At Churchill, we believe in carrying these ideals throughout our top-down leadership and want to help individuals and families not only achieve their dream of homeownership but to also mentor them through the process, creating life-long relationships with each customer.”
